Infanticide in America
Pass it on. The major news outlets are ignoring this.
Michelle Malkin reports on mass-murderer Kermit Gosnell and the mass cover-up that allowed it to continue for decades:
In the City of Brotherly Love, hundreds of babies were murdered by a scissors-wielding monster over four decades. Whistleblowers informed public officials at all levels of the wanton killings of innocent life. But a parade of government health bureaucrats and advocates protecting the abortion racket looked the other way – until, that is, a Philadelphia grand jury finally exposed the infanticide factory run by abortionist Kermit B. Gosnell, M.D., and a crew of unlicensed, untrained butchers masquerading as noble providers of women’s “choice.” Prosecutors charged Gosnell and his death squad with multiple counts of murder, infanticide, conspiracy, abuse of corpse, theft, and other offenses.
The full, detailed grand jury report is here. How much of a monster is Gosnell?
[Baby Boy A] was breathing and moving when Dr. Gosnell severed his spine and put the body in a plastic shoebox for disposal. The doctor joked that this baby was so big he could “walk me to the bus stop.” [Page 8]
It goes on and on and on, all a natural result of the culture of death ushered in with the legalization of abortion.
Tomorrow (Jan. 22) is a day of prayer and penance for Catholics but all are welcome to join in:
In all the dioceses of the United States of America, January 22 (or January 23, when January 22 falls on a Sunday) shall be observed as a particular day of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion, and of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life.
The evil of abortion has never been clearer than it is today.
Words can’t begin to convey the butchery of Kermit Gosnell and company. For a strong dose of reality, check out some of these links:

This is an incredible story. Still working my way through the grand jury report. Literally nauseating. There is simply no way to fully appreciate this story from the info in the news blurbs. The bigger story here is the way Pennsylvania government contributed to this crime:
“State health officials have also shown a disregard for the laws the
department is supposed to enforce. Most appalling of all, the Department of Health’s
neglect of abortion patients’ safety and of Pennsylvania laws is clearly not inadvertent: It
is by design…”

Yes, they let this go on for decades because abortion is untouchable, a sacred right to be protected at all costs. Obama said as much as a state senator:
“SENATOR OBAMA: Number one, whenever we define a previable fetus as a person that is protected by the equal protection clause or the other elements in the Constitution, what we’re really saying is, in fact, that they are persons that are entitled to the kinds of protection that would be provided to a—a child, a nine-month-old—child that was delivered to term. That determination, then, would essentially bar abortions, because the equal protection clause does not allow somebody to kill a child, and if this is a child, then this would be an anti-abortion statute. For that purpose, I think it would probably be found unconstitutional. The second reason that it would probably be found unconstitutional is that this essentially says that a doctor is required to provide treatment to a previable child, or fetus, however you want to describe it. Viability is the line that has been drawn by the Supreme Court to determine whether an abortion can or cannot take place. And if we’re placing a burden on the doctor that says you have to keep alive even a previable child as long as possible and give them as much medical attention as—as is necessary to try to keep that child alive, then we’re probably crossing the line in terms of constitutionality.”

I found the full “bus stop” quote on p. 105 of the indictment:
Gosnell simply noted the baby boy’s size by joking, as he often did after delivering a large baby. According to Cross, the doctor said: “This baby is big enough to walk around with me, or walk me to the bus stop.”

A photograph of that baby is in that document. Truly horrific..

The indictment says Gosnell took in $10,000 – $15,000 a night.

He made several million dollars. No bail because of his great wealth. Huge flight risk.

p. 107: After playing with the baby, Williams slit its neck.

That was one of the most amazing quotes I have ever encountered. That abortion mill was like a concentration camp.

Gosnell was explicitly in the business of providing FORCED abortions. He influenced victims of coercion to pay extra:

I’m not able to read this–it’s too horrible. Who are these people? Their photos speak volumes.
I’ll never understand how Americans were able to vote for Obama knowing that he acted to prevent babies who survived abortions from receiving medical care–even comfort.

I’m still scarred by the pictures I saw last night. I can’t shake them.
And I thought I understood the depths of liberal jackassery until the UM prof declared it was “all meat” to him. And then this tonight, from Slate http://www.slate.com/id/2281812 where feminists STILL DEFEND the right to “at any time” abortions because it’s the woman’s “right” to not have to make up her mind. Until the end or something.
Absolutely disgusted with the state of humanity. Or lack thereof, I should say.

No wonder popular culture is obsessed with vampires, zombies, and tv autopsies. This is the reality they don’t want to face, so they peek at it in other ways and pretend it’s not happening.
Michelle Malkin and Elizabeth Scalia urge us to read the indictment.
The Anchoress:
“. . . do not be fooled; this is about abortion in America, and about a mindset that will excuse a great deal for its sake. Steel yourself to it and try to read the report. Become educated about Gosnell; it is very likely there are more like him — exploiting the poor, cutting every corner and confident that local authorities and regulators will not care.”
“Over a period of two decades, government health and licensing officials were repeatedly presented with evidence about Gosnell, and repeatedly chose to do nothing…”
“No action was taken, even after the agencies learned that women had died under Gosnell’s care.”

Twilight sleep for girls who were not there by their own ‘choice’ but were coerced or forced into abortions. For an extra charge, of course. Forced abortions happen a lot here in the US, this ‘doctor’ even acknowledged it in his own papers.
