I can`t help but wonder, since there`s no explanation in the vid, what do you have to do in Syria (I`m assuming under Sharia Law) to get yourself buried alive as punishment ?

My sensibilities do not allow torturing someone to death, so it doesn`t matter in that sense; I am just curious of their justification ! I seek to understand, even though that understanding will never lead to my acceptance of it !
Please understand that I mean no disrespect to you; I`m assuming you meant none to me, but I HATE IT when I ask a question and someone tells me it doesn`t matter ! It matters that I`m curious; I want to know !

I am so sorry to have stepped on a peeve. Certainly not intended. And I respect curiousity immensely. I would not swear on a stack of Bibles or Koran but my general understanding is that Sharia law does allow people to be buried alive for several reasons. Recently, a woman was buried up to her neck and stoned to death for the crime of being raped. But I suspect law of any sort had nothing to do with this murder. They caught someone they didn’t like and they murdered him in a terrifyingly gruesome manner. That, I suspect, is the reason for no explanation because there is no justification. Also, I suspect this video was unofficial – the person who took it and posted it, didn’t explain it for or against. Why they killed the person is easy to understand, they are evil. Why the person filmed and posted it without explanation is what excites my curiousity. Are they supporting this or are they exposing these animals for what they really are? Guess which I am hoping for.

I knew about the stoning process, but hadn`t heard of total live-burial; or I forgot it. It IS something I`d want to forget ! Islam is all about evil, as far as I`m concerned, so an exhibition of it isn`t really a surprise, and you`re right, I was wondering about their justification.
I`d like to think someone was trying to expose the evil involved there, but more likely, it`s just another example of the ruthlessness of the Taliban, or similar group in efforts to foment unimaginable fear and blind obedience ! (I read a story about Taliban members told to imagine the most extreme horror they could inflict on people, so that the victims would fear them and obey them without question – that was when the story broke about Taliban members entering a house, finding a mother breast-feeding her child and cutting off her breasts and forcing the other women to eat them) Man`s inhumanity to man – Satan inspired !
