Charles Krauthammer on Sequester Hype
First and foremost, the defense budget is only going back down to 2007 levels, when we had two wars going on. Both sides are hyping this. I would like to hear the facts instead of the hype.

There are no real “cuts”; it is a reduction in the rate of increase in spending. It amounts to less than 3 cents on the dollar. Hype indeed !
Another thing; the pRes. is citing the the prospect of First Responders, Drs, teachers, others losing their jobs when in fact, those jobs are NOT funded by federal dollars in the first place. He is LYING AGAIN !!

Yes, the “cuts” are a tiny, tiny, tiny fraction of a fraction of a reduction in proposed spending. Thank you baseline budgeting.

As it stands, WITH the sequester “cuts” there will be an increase in spending of $15 B over last year. Why are ANY cuts, furloughs, lost “anything” necessary ?
It`s lies and fear-mongering as usual and a ploy to force Rs to accept tax increases.
