Photo of the Day – The Sad State of Affairs in Our Country Edition

What in heaven’s name was this young woman thinking?  Seriously, I also would like to know who sold her this dress.  If I owned a business selling wedding dresses, I would let the small amount of profit go by the wayside, would you ever shop at the store that sold this?

The Nuts Are Out

A mother in Canada has taken her own nuttiness a tad too far.  Donna Giustizia, a mom of two is trying to get all the oak trees near her child’s school removed because of nut allergies.  The school itself is nut free (which was mistake number one) but the school property gets acorns from the surrounding trees.  Her solution is to remove all the oak trees in the area.

Now this from the director of Allergies and Asthma at New York University Hospital

“There’s no relationship between acorns and peanuts,” Bassett said. “If people have food allergies, they need to work with an allergists on prevention, avoidance and preparedness. People with food allergies need to be careful and have a plan.”

But this mother doesn’t appear to be willing to give up.  She also says:

She appeared before the Vaughan, Ontario, City Council last week to plead for the removal of the trees, saying : “The acorns are not only presenting a risk to the tree-nut-allergic students, but it is also becoming a great cause of anxiety among all students with nut allergies.” Giustizia also said, according to The Star,   that “acorns can also be used to bully and torment children.

Luckily, she isn’t suggesting that entire town cut down their oak trees, just the area near her child’s school.

So, the school system is preparing a report to address her issues.  For what purpose is beyond me.  There is no scientific link between acorns and human allergies to nuts.  So this school system is going to use limited resources and funds to research a problem that doesn’t exist all to please one over protective zealous mother that doesn’t have any idea of what she is talking about.  What I find so comical about her testimony is that she already prepared an alternative reason for getting rid of the acorns, as they are a bullying tool.

If I were sitting on this school board I would be telling this mother to take those acorns and stuff them where the sun doesn’t shine and I would charge her for the time that she wasted.  I am sick to death of people taking their obscure and often wrong ideas and expecting the entire world to bow down to what they want.  No child is going to die due to being near an acorn.  Get over yourself lady.

After looking at this, can there be any doubt why we have allowed the government to get this much in debt?  Truly, people are idiots.  How can you live in section 8 housing and say that you don’t take government benefits?

Octomom broke and nearing a porn deal to make ends meet

The very sad saga of Octomom continues.  She has filed for bankruptcy which shows she is about $1 million in the hole and her house is scheduled to be auctioned off on Monday.  She and her 14 children are living off welfare, food stamps, and credit.  That still isn’t enough to pay the bills for 14 children even though she received money for posing topless several months back.

She is considering porn as a way to make ends meet.  Although, she is asking that it be a one woman show.  How exactly that will be all that exciting I am not sure.  The problem is that Octomom expected to gain fame and fortune from having 8 babies at once.  It didn’t seem to occur to her that already having six and adding eight more constituted a great deal of work, especially on a single parent such as herself.

She has brought into the world, by artificial means 14 children without any idea of how to care for them, let alone how to support them.  The very sad part is that it puts the state in a very difficult situation.  The states do everything that they possibly can in order to keep families together, even when they end up in the foster care system.  It will be next to impossible for California to find one home for all of these children.  So these kids are likely to be separated at some point; and I would venture to say it won’t be in the all that distance future.

At this point she just looking to make some money off these children:

“She is not interested in having any filming or doing any interviews of any sort, especially entering her home and filming her kids for no compensation,”

She seems to more than willing to pimp these poor children in front of the cameras as a way to make money and keep up the illusion that she is not completely government dependent for her every need.  She used welfare money to pay for her in-vitro babies expecting that would be her way off of welfare. People wonder why conservatives say that welfare is trap.  Sadly, this time it has ensnared 14 innocent children who had no say in all the bad choices made by their OctoMom.

Apologies in Advance – Experiencing a Hacking Issue

Maggie over at Maggie’s Notebook made me aware of some hacking issues that I am experiencing as of late.  She has gotten some rather lengthy and not very nice comments using my blog’s name.  I didn’t write them.

So, if anyone else is getting these from “Just A Conservative Girl” I apologize in advance.  There are not from me.  They are using the email address justaconservativegirl@yahoo.com as the email address.  That is not my email, nor do I use the one that is listed on the side of the blog as a contact when I comment.  So if either of those email addresses are coming up with comments, they are from someone else.

I had gotten an email with a long letter attached about Newt and Muslims and some other disjointed messages asking me to have the courage to print it.  I wrote back to the person that if they want their opinion out there, they should write their own blog.  This person may be the culprit.

So again, I apologize if there are any nasty comments out there.  I assume the person will get bored and move on at some point or find another target to get out their obvious anger.
