Glenn Beck approached Al & Co. about purchasing Current TV earlier and rumor has it, he offered more $$, but AlBore refused, saying that he couldn`t allow the legacy of the co. to be changed by someone with such opposing ideals (paraphrased). It looks to me as though the Anti-American islamist`s propaganda machine Al Jazeera is therefore much more ideologically aligned with Al than Glenn. Color me SHOCKED !

The “fruit cup” is actually a contribution, so in that respect, the cartoonist is a bit generous to the Spend, Borrow and Tax Dems. The most they are contributing to any talks is the utensils to gobble up the food brought by well-meaning Reps., or perhaps start a food fight.

On a serious note, 18,000 people will be losing their jobs due to the strike. What few people realize is that only 5,000 of those workers were unionized. The additional 13,000 are collateral damage. Sad, Christmas is in six weeks.

So, rather than take an 8% pay cut and keep their jobs, those 5,000 chose instead to take a 100% pay cut and lost their own and cost 13,000 others their jobs ! Wow, aren`t unions great ?!
No word yet on the trickle-down effects of the loss of the Hostess Family of products to stores and their employees.

Does the man look poor or oppressed? Have I done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? Can we run away? What about my wife & kids?
Maybe if I swing the gun & knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway & what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?Does he definitely want to kill me, happy w/just killing me or would he be content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees & hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? Should I call 9-1-1? Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have a paint & weed day & make this happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.
This is all so confusing!! I need to debate this with some friends for few days and try to come to a consensus.Republican ‘s Answer:

I am spending the final week in OH. Yesterday during my daily door knocking to low propensity voters, four have told me that this has happened to them. One woman told me that it has been stolen three different times. She has moved the signs to her front window.

Here`s a woman who has found herself in the Lap Of Luxury, able to avail herself of numerous fabulous vacations at mostly taxpayer expense with Secret Service protection and a large entourage, who has inserted herself into the Nat`l diet and exercise dialog and despite not being appointed or elected to any position of authority, has been paid attention to; I would think anyone in her position would be thankful and of pleasant demeanor, but NO, this woman is unhappy to the bone.

I get the comparison, but I see a tremendous difference; Nixon COULD be honest and COULD tell the truth. Besides, no one got so much as a splinter in the Watergate kerfuffle !
