CA Art Teacher Deems Drawing Of American Flag, “Offensive” – Praises Drawing Of Barack Obama
I know, I know…Obama won, we lost, get used to it – Welcome to Obama’s America.
Offensive and unacceptable

Tracy Hathaway, of Salinas, CA, told FOX News Radio her 13-year-old daughter was ordered to stop drawing the American flag and start another project at Gavilan View Middle School.
“She had drawn the flag and was sketching the letters, ‘God bless America,’ when the teacher confronted her,” Hathaway told FOX. “She said, ‘You can’t draw that – that’s offensive.’”
Even more striking, another student in the same art class drew a picture of President Obama and was praised by the teacher.
“The picture of Barack Obama was in red, white and blue hues,” Hathaway said. “ The teacher said it was great. But when it comes to the flag – all of a sudden it was offensive?”
Hathaway said she took her concerns to the principal – and he was “floored” and apologized for what happened. He arranged a meeting with the Hathaways and the teacher.
“My husband point-blank asked her what she found offensive about the picture – the American flag or the words, ‘God Bless America,’” she said. “The teacher didn’t say a word.”
The superintendent told FOX that he had contacted the principal and that the issue “was taken care of to their (the parent’s) satisfaction.”
“The school administration and the parents did not view this as significant enough to bring it to the superintendent’s office,” he wrote.

It seems the parents found the issue significant enough to bring it to the attention of Fox News. Moreover, Hathaway says her daughter has not yet received an apology, and in fact, the art teacher told her that she shouldn’t have gotten her parents involved in the matter.
Why does this teacher still have a job?

This is absolutely ridiculous. There has been a long-waged war against both God and America in this country, but it seems to be picking up pace, doesn’t it? Between this ridiculous art teacher (I agree, this person should not be in a classroom), the kids being told to turn their tee-shirts inside out because of the “offensive” American flag, and those poor seniors who cannot say a prayer before a meal because some of the nursing home money comes from the feds, I’m pretty much fuming.
If the seniors are receiving social security, does that mean they have to burn their bibles and denounce God and Jesus? Do we once we’re all forced on a government healthcare plan and receiving “government aid”? Where does this madness stop?

The idiots sure seem to be coming out of the woodwork. Who would imagine that a group of people couldn’t say grace over food that was federally funded? And that art teacher — !
One good thing: People aren’t taking this kind of thing lying down. We can thank Obama for raising the consciousness of Americans, including kids, who are sensitized to government overreach, and fed up with it.
