You guys are commenting so quickly that my slow little netbook can’t keep. My two cents-he’s not going to let a crisis go to waste. He’s full steam ahead with Cap & Trade “we can’t afford not to…blah, blah, blah” Anybody feeling inspired? No?
We’ve known hard times before but the hard times have gotten worse in the last 18 months!

That is the part that drives me to distraction. It isn’t bad enough he is incompetent – we have to stand guard he won’t totally put the sword in the economy and finish it off with cap and trade..

He’s going to kill the economies of the Gulf Coast with the drilling moratorium.

Sorry about arriving late to the party, just read the email. Yes, Obama will push Cap and Trade which was DOA until the rig blew up. I was not going to watch him, but like a train wreck I had to look. He did what I thought he would, lie when it was convenient, mix facts with untruths, it was hard to watch without gritting my teeth.

O’Reilly is talking with Holmes. A moderate angling for another interview with BO talking to a “useful idiot” liberal.
You all should read what a Czech citizen wrote about why Obama is president and how that isn’t the real problem with America

My laptop dropped out for a while. But I wanted to ask, Did you hear Major on Fox call Obama the “Warrior President.” That’s what Obama was going for with his war metaphors.
Jill 7:55 PM on 06/15/2010 Permalink |
Gak! That’s about as Orwellian as it gets.

Krauthammer’s on now.

We don’t get cable. Give me the highlights. :)

Hannity is giving Obama poor marks. Luntz’s people were split BUT informed. Varney is screaming about the illegality of the slush fund. Perino, who is a wishy-washy moderate in support of green energy, is saying something.

Warrior… oh that’s funny. He may have watched a Warrior game, bet on a Warrior game, read a book that referenced warriors, but a warrior? Only if he wore adult depends for the inevitable “accident” he would suffer the first time he was really facing danger.
BTW- Did you see my “Barackolini” photo at the site? I finally figured out embedding. (yes and I can’t text, don’t have a facebook and if something “twitters” around me, I usually slap at it like a fly.)
That is how I see him, a fake “Emperor for life.”

But who is the war against? BP… sure, but also us lazy consumers.
Remember his toughest talk is reserved for GOP and Tea Partiers.

He’s a warrior in the same way that he’s an orator. It’s a “talking point” label for the group-thinkers to repeat endlessly. But the real enemy, of course, are capitalists. Ask any prog. Ask any Dem.
Jill 8:01 PM on 06/15/2010 Permalink |
He’s certainly waging war on capitalism. Talk about the road to serfdom.

I sent an email to a friend, an economist and well known person who was just maybe a little supportive of certain concepts Obama put forth. He saw how they were really enacted. I said, “Brother, we are in trouble.”
He responded, for the first time, “In really big, big trouble.” He yells duck, I leap for cover. I think he is about a half a bubble from saying “Duck.”

It’s not just capitalism… it’s us– people, consumers, whatever.
I keep getting reminded of HG Wells and other eugenicists who believed the world would be a much better place if we could just get rid of all the riff-raff.
I get the same sense from Obama and the Left’s writings. They dislike the stupid, unwashed masses yearning to be free… namely us.
archer52 8:15 PM on 06/15/2010 Permalink |
Good luck on their attempt to thin us out. It is a numbers game and we would win handily.

I’m not talking about a genocide. I’m talking about an attitude and belief.

Then their technique will be to educate independence and free will out of the children. As Mao did.
However, there is an argument out there that many of the people in charge now cut their radical teeth during the Mao’s Cultural Revolution. How seriously that impacts their thought process today is important to understand and be very wary of.

This tax-serf has to sign off now. Waking up the roosters tomorrow to earn some money to pay for somebody’s double-pane windows, somewhere! Thanks very much to all. Jill, you especially.

We’re cable-less and I couldn’t *find* the speech at 1800 MST on free tv for the masses. Local news, Jeopardy, Three and a Half Men, etc were on. Doh. I guess it’s on now at 2000, but I’m being summoned to read bedtime stories after bath. Though I will say I go the … tone and tenor of what (wasn’t) said without having to decimate our tv. ; ) Reading through the thread was quite fun.

Was out at swimming lessons, karate, and then bed routine and then to the grocery store. Sorry I missed the party.

I was out eating BBQ – I didn’t want to give up my evening to listen to that loser. Looks like I missed a fun party!
