Lara Logan Talks
CBS reporter Lara Logan was savagely sexually assaulted and brutalized by a frenzied mob in Egypt’s Tahir Square in February while covering the fall of Mubarak. She has bravely chosen to talk about what happened to her. You can read about it and see a short video clip of her upcoming 60 Minutes interview over at my place:

Such an awful thing. I can’t imagine what she went through and is still going through, but I admire her forthrightness on the hideous attack she endured.
On another note, this is going to cause an existential crisis on the left. A leftist woman brutally assaulted by a mob of representatives of the religion of peace and tolerance . . . they’re going to burn some circuits trying to figure out a narrative that simultaneously excuses the attackers and rallies around the victim. My guess: America did it. Or Bush.

Yeah, or, more likely, Israel.

You have to wonder if her leftism blindsided her to this possibility. After all she was a veteran of overseas gigs.

You wouldn’t catch me anywhere near the Middle East (unless it was Israel); in fact, the way the world is breaking down right now, I wouldn’t even go to Europe. I’ll stick to America for the foreseeable future. But then, I’m not a journalist, so my job doesn’t take me to such places. Thank God.
This is the second high profile recently-victimized (to an extreme) leftist by the people the far left holds nearest and dearest. They’re already saying that Israel is responsible for that Italian leftist pacifist killed by his bestest buds, so I imagine they’ll find a way to excuse these animals, too. Zilla may have a point on blaming Israel, that does seem to be fall-back fall guy for all the ills of the world these days.
