Apparently, In Canada Killing Your Children is Not That Big of a Deal – 2 Newborn Deaths 36 Months in Prison

A young animal woman kills two out of the three children she gives birth to and will spend only 36 months in prison.  She served 18 months before bail was granted and will now serve an additional 18 months.  She has given birth four times since 2008.  Two babies were never found after she put them in dumpsters.  One child was saved from the dumpster when a man, who turns out to be the child’s father, heard cries and saved the child.  A fourth child was birthed during her time in prison.

“You co-operated with police. Without your admission to police about the first babies, there would be no case against you.”

The judge also noted that Borowiec has shown “genuine remorse.”

Genuine remorse?  This is a woman who did this three times.  Not once, not twice, but three times.  Gave birth to these innocent, helpless children into a toilet, then wrapped them in towels after hearing their cries, put them in garbage bags and disposed of them like they were trash.  How does one show remorse for that?  Do you cry a great deal?  By her own admission she never even bothered to check if these children were male or female.  She cared not one whit about these babies.

I am not sure if it is a good or bad thing that she isn’t trying to say she didn’t know she was pregnant.  She knowingly lied to people about her condition by saying she had cysts in her uterus.  She never told the baby’s father about them.  She never sought medical attention for the prenatal care for these children.  She then says it was after giving birth that she wasn’t “normal”.

This reminds me of another case in Canada where the young mother was given little to no  jail time because “abortion on demand” is the law of the land there.  They have little to no restrictions on abortion.  Apparently as long as you are not in active labor, you can end the life of your child.  That judge seems to think that includes the time right after birth and the child is outside the womb.

Is it any wonder that we don’t respect life?  Why get angry that there are so many murders on the streets of Chicago?  What makes them more human than these children?  When a society has gotten to the point where it no longer cares that life has been ended at the hand of another, it is a society that deserves whatever else comes.

Quote of the Day – Debbie Wasserman-Schultz Edition

“For me as a mother, to see that searing image of babies lined up, murdered by their own government, innocent children. I mean, as a Jew, Wolf, I have to tell you, as a member of Congress who represents one of the largest Holocaust survivor populations in the country, to me, the concept of never again, has to mean something. And the United States, morally, cannot turn the other cheek. Too many leaders of ours have regretted that decision.”

She doesn’t seem to feel that way about our government paying for abortions.  I guess somehow that death is different.  Oh yeah, it is choice, not a human life.

Hey, Want Some Advice on How to Convince a Woman to Get an Abortion? Well, Here It Is

Oh my.  I have reached the age that little should shock me.  I convince myself all the time that is the case.  Then I read this.

It is a blog that says it is an advice like thing for men.  You know, dating tips and of course, what would it be without a column on how to get out of fatherhood?  I mean that is necessary info after all, right?

It starts out with how men have few options when it comes to birth control:

Let’s face it: sexually active people have accidents. Shit happens, that’s life. But we know that men have no reproductive rights in opting out of a being a parent. With only two birth control options available to men (a condom and a vasectomy) the words you use to get your girl off the fence about having an abortion must be well thought out.

I notice it says nothing about not having sex or even if people think that isn’t a realistic argument, it doesn’t even mention just having sex with someone who you trust enough to know that she is taking birth control on a regular basis.  Nor does it mention the withdrawal method.  If worse comes to worse, you can just have oral sex.  I guess the fact that when used properly, condoms are pretty much as effective as birth control as any method a woman uses.  But I guess that is neither here nor there.

He recommends three different styles to use during this “conversation”

    1. The Hail Mary
    2. The Asshole Method
    3. The Wild Card Method

I guess it doesn’t occur to this guy that all would fall under The Asshole Method.  The Hail Mary method is to be used on a “girlfriend” or “long-term booty call”.  I guess another term for the hook-up that is so common on college campuses these days.   You play Mr. Nice Guy and tell the woman that you want to have children with her “one day”, but that day isn’t quite here yet.  You know you have career and financial goals and that having a baby today would mess those up.  You can’t support her or that child in the way you would like.  Oh, and I can’t leave out you are instructed to dump the girl after this, because if she happens to get pregnant again, you won’t be able to use this a second time.   I guess if you are already doing well in those departments you are screwed and then have to move on to the next method of being a total jerk.    Just tell her you will not be part of this child’s life and she will only get financial support that court forces him to pay.  But in no uncertain terms will you forced into a fatherhood to a child that you don’t want.  I guess you are effectively breaking it off here as well.

The third one really is the most charming of all the methods.  I will let him describe it to you.

    How The Wildcard Method Works

Think about what causes normal couples wanting to have children to get an abortion. If an ultrasound finds that the child has a developmental problem like autism, many couples choose to abort. You can use this knowledge to your advantage because you can tell the girl that a rare genetic disease is common in your family. You should tell her you would love to have children but it would be unfair to risk the possibility of this disease (ideally use one which causes an early death and/or horrible lifestyle conditions while alive) being passed on to future generations. To add color to your story, bring up a nonexistent sibling and tell her that you are still recovering from their painful passing a few years ago.

To help convince her that this is a family disease, take pictures. This might require you to spend an afternoon volunteering at a hospital or center for developmentally disabled people. Take a picture of someone who could pass as a relative (similar skin tone is probably all you need). This is just an example, but do whatever you think is necessary to sell the seriousness of this genetic disease to her.  Explain that having a kid with your DNA would be like playing Russian roulette with someone’s life. If she is still on the fence have her watch the film Tiptoes with Matthew McConaughey and tell her what your siblings, uncles, cousins have lived through makes dwarfism seem like a walk in the park. While this method could require some acting on your part, if you sell it well enough she will be offering to pay for the abortion.

Apparently it would seem this would work best on a woman who has yet to meet your family, or at the very least doesn’t know them very well since she has no idea that you lost a sibling.  It also never occurs to this wonderful guy that the woman may ask if he has this going on why he wouldn’t have a vasectomy to be sure he never plants his seed, but you know, details.  I love how something so rare is so common all that the same time, don’t you?

Is really necessary to wonder why dont’ view life as valuable anymore?   I will give him credit though, he does seem to think it is his repsonsibility to pay for the abortion.  I guess we should take some solace in that.

The Abortion Contract – NBA Star’s Legal Contract for Girlfriend to Terminate Pregnancy

It is a very sick world we are living in.  NBA star J.J. Reddick apparently got his model girlfriend pregnant in his rookie year in the NBA.  So what do people who have lots of money and fame do in this situation?  Get a lawyer of course.

Apparently the two were dating, or at least sleeping together, and broke up.  Shortly after the break up she discovers she is pregnant and wants to terminate the pregnancy.  In return for terminating the pregnancy he agrees to start dating her again for a period of one year.  In case he decides in less than one year that the relationship isn’t working, he can end the relationship once he gives written notice, and of course a check for $25K.  Now, if either party decides to try to contact the other after the relationships ends, it will be legally considered stalking and arrests could be made.

It is a brave new world we live in isn’t it?  People wonder why we don’t look at life as being something of value anymore.

Another issue here is why would want to date someone who would agree to this?  It is bizarre in every way.

you can read the contract here.

No, Abortion Isn’t Used as Birth Control – Male Blogger Worries Casual Sex in Texas Will Be Harder to Come By

Yes, someone really made the claim that men in Texas need to care about the abortion bill in Texas because of casual sex.

Your sex life is at stake. Can you think of anything that kills the vibe faster than a woman fearing a back-alley abortion? Making abortion essentially inaccessible in Texas will add an anxiety to sex that will drastically undercut its joys. And don’t be surprised if casual sex outside of relationships becomes far more difficult to come by.

Well if that isn’t a reason to keep abortions beyond five months legal, I don’t know what is.  I suppose that he can continue to make the argument that wanting abortions to be safe and being against basic safety procedures such as doctors having hospital privileges in a hospital within a 30 mile radius is also keep him from getting some.

You want to decide when and if to have kids. This bill will force thousands of Texas men into unplanned fatherhood by making it impossible for women to access an abortion in the event of an unplanned pregnancy. Even if you want to have kids, you probably don’t want an accident to make you a father before you’re psychologically ready and able to care for a child. If you don’t want kids, you don’t want the narrow, personal views of politicians in the state government to force you to have them.

I guess it is impossible to ask someone to show a little self control or may be wear a condom.  That wouldn’t help him from getting a little somethin’ somethin’ when the mood strikes.  Heaven forbid men actually realize that their actions have consequences.  We wouldn’t want that to happen now would we?

Again, no mention of the life created, just about what is easy and convenient for adults involved.  Why should the risk of creating another human life get in the way of having a good time.

Almost half of all pregnancies are unplanned and unintended. Of those, over 40% currently end in abortion. What happens to those 40% if this law passes? Are you willing to roll the dice with your girlfriend’s health and safety?

Again, let me get this straight, ensuring that all abortion clinics in Texas are close to hospital and have standards of cleanliness is risking their health and safety?

The world is just plum crazy, up is down, and black is white.

Social Media Saves the Life of Down’s Baby From Abortion

An unidentified couple was told the news that their unborn baby has Down’s Syndrome.  For whatever reasons the couple decided not to raise the child and was looking into abortion.  A Catholic priest from Virginia heard the story and appealed to the couple to put the child up for adoption.  The couple was willing to do that, but they had only a very short period of time before the window for available abortions would be closed to them.

The Church decided to use social media to try and find a couple that would open their hearts and their homes to a special needs child for a lifetime.

“There is a couple in another state who have contacted an adoption agency looking for a family to adopt their Down Syndrome unborn baby. If a couple has not been found by today they plan to abort the baby. If you are interested in adopting this baby please contact Fr. VW IMMEDIATELY.  We are asking all to pray for this baby and the wisdom that this couple realize the importance of human life and do not abort this beautiful gift from God.”

The response they received was overwhelming to the point they had to call in volunteers to help field all the calls and emails that they received; more than 900 emails and a phone that rang off the hook all day.  People did open their hearts to that precious unborn baby who was facing imminent death through a late term abortion.

They have narrowed it down to three families and the couple, along with a adoption agency, are screening these couples to make a decision as who would be best able to raise this child with the love and dignity it deserves.

One of the many things that is told to people out there is that no one will adopt a special needs child.  That simply isn’t true.  Many families out there have raised children of their own, and for whatever reason feel a calling to raise a special needs child after being so blessed with other children.  Some families have been in a waiting line that can sometimes stretch by years waiting for “healthy” child and realize that they can love a child with Down’s just as easily as they would love a “normal” baby.  In fact, many people realize that adoption is a much easier process if they are willing to take children that may be a little older, bi-racial, or special needs.  They want to love a child and to have a family.

Raising a child with special needs is more challenging, but the rewards of it are great.

The next time a pro-choice person insists that pro life people aren’t interested in helping children once they are born, this will give them some pause.  If you find yourself in a situation that you are daunted by, just go to your local church and talk to them.  They will help find you a family that will not only raise your child, but love them unconditionally.

God Bless this couple for reaching out and looking for another solution before ending the life of their baby and bless the people who stepped up and reached out to give a home to child in need.

This is how you change hearts and minds about abortion.

Slippery Slope of Liberalism Part 8

Most have heard of the new hero of the left, Wendy Davis, who successfully did a 13 hour filibuster to stop some additional laws on abortion.  These laws by the way wanted to, in part, make sure that abortion clinics are close to a hospital, the doctor performing the abortion has staff privileges at that hospital, and that the clinics are up to par when it comes to safety and cleanliness.  The horror.

Speaking at National Right to Life Convention Rick Perry said this:

“Who are we to say that children born in the worst of circumstances can’t grow to live successful lives?  In fact, even the woman who filibustered the Senate the other day was born into difficult circumstances. She was the daughter of a single woman, she was a teenage mother herself. She managed to eventually graduate from Harvard Law School and serve in the Texas senate. It is just unfortunate that she hasn’t learned from her own example that every life must be given a chance to realize its full potential and that every life matters.”

This is being viewed by the left as an attack.  An attack?  He complimented both her and her mother for the bravery of bringing a child into the world under what many consider difficult circumstances.  This woman managed to graduate from an ivy league school even though she was “punished” with a baby.

This is what the left has done with life.  It has been minimized to the point that even complimenting a woman is viewed as an attack.  Yesterday on twitter a young woman who described herself as an “intellectual progressive” compared a baby in the womb to both a tape worm and a parasite.  She has since deleted her account on twitter, but there is plenty of evidence of it still around.

Is it any wonder that young people all over this country have no real sense of the value of life?  A 23-year-old professional football player has now been charged with murder allegedly over a “conversation”.  He threw away a successful career doing something that little boys all over the country dream of when they are showing up at pop warner on a Saturday morning.  We hear stories about people being killed over a leather coat, or a pair of Air Jordans, or any number of other material items that really have no meaning next to the life of a human being.  Yet, it happens over and over again.

I have said in the past that language matters.  I do believe that.  I think this is confirmation of my point.  This law was designed to make women safer during the abortion procedure.  Yet it is attack as a war on women.  Wanting to make sure that other women are not confronted with another Dr. Gosnell is somehow not only bad, but damaging to women.  Wanting to make sure that a woman is close to hospital in cases of an emergency is as well.  Women do die during botched abortions.  It isn’t as unusual as the left would like people to believe.  Yet, trying to ensure that women have access to adequate medical care in cases of emergencies is part and parcel of the “War on Women”.

One of the lines you hear often about abortion is Safe, Legal, and Rare.  Women have bought into this farce by burying the stories of Gosnell, by not talking about how some states don’t have legal standards that would have them as clean as a  clinic where plastic surgery is done.  Do most people in this country even understand that simple bar is fought tooth and nail by many on the left?

While people who are pro abortion will say that I am stretching, but I am sorry I am not.  Life has been devalued in our society to the point that saying that a teenage girl who chose to not only give life to her child, raised her on her own and still managed to make something out of her life is an attack.

Wendy Davis shows that a having an unplanned pregnancy, even in your teenage years, is not the end of your life.  You can succeed and still follow your own goals.  Her life was most likely more difficult, but I am sure when she looks at her child, she sees nothing but the same thing a mother who wanted to get pregnant feels.  Love, a never-ending and very deep love.

    • signpainterguy 9:44 PM on 06/27/2013 Permalink | Reply

You are right, as was Rush when he said several years ago, “Accurately describe a liberal and s/he will take it as an attack and go ballistic !” As you have well pointed out, just accurately describe what libs / progs want to do, are doing, it will be taken as a personal attack. Try to emplace measures to protect women, you are waging a war against them.

The War On Women is waged by the left and by muslims, not those of us on the right who merely wish to love, honor and protect women !

Chelsea Clinton talking about people who gave birth to her grandmother.  One must wonder if she understood that what she really said there was that her grandmother, her mother, and she herself, could have been prevented had planned parenthood existed back then.   Considering she worked so hard for her mother to become the first female U.S. President she would see for herself that just because a child is not planned, doesn’t mean that the child isn’t wanted nor can they not achieve amazing things.  Asshat

Quote of the Day – Priests for Life Edition

With this statement, you make a mockery of the Catholic faith and of the tens of millions of Americans who consider themselves “practicing and respectful Catholics” and who find the killing of children — whether inside or outside the womb — reprehensible.

You speak here of Catholic faith as if it is supposed to hide us from reality instead of lead us to face reality, as if it is supposed to confuse basic moral truths instead of clarify them, and as if it is supposed to help us escape the hard moral questions of life rather than help us confront them.

Whatever Catholic faith you claim to respect and practice, it is not the faith that the Catholic Church teaches. And I speak for countless Catholics when I say that it’s time for you to stop speaking as if it were.

Abortion is not sacred ground; it is sacrilegious ground. To imagine God giving the slightest approval to an act that dismembers a child he created is offensive to both faith and reason.

And to say that a question about the difference between a legal medical procedure and murder should not “have anything to do with politics” reveals a profound failure to understand your own political responsibilities, which start with the duty to secure the God-given right to life of every citizen.

A letter to Nanny Pelosi in regards to her statement about being a faithful and practicing Catholic.  They should actually deny her communion instead of writing a letter.  But I have to say this is a start.

Quote of the Day – Nancy Pelosi Edition Part 6

I’ve responded to you to the extent that I’m going to respond to you. Because I want to tell you something. As the mother of five children, my oldest child was 6 years old the day I brought my 5th child home from the hospital, as a practicing and respectful Catholic, this is sacred ground to me when we talk about this. I don’t think it should have anything to do with politics. And that’s where you’re taking it and I’m not going there.

Nancy Pelosi when asked what the difference between Gosnell killing a child born alive during a botched abortion and an actual abortion after 24 weeks.

I would like to know what type of Parish she goes to that having abortions is being a practicing and respectful Catholic.  The Catholic Church is quite clear on this.  It is life from the moment of conception to natural death, no equivocations whatsoever.

“as a practicing and respectful Catholic” She may think this in her mind but Pelosi is not a practicing and respectful Catholic. She is not a Catholic in good standing. She’s pretty much excommunicated herself from the Church because of her positions on abortion and same-sex marriage. How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love… And we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts…”

    Another Presidential First

According to the Daily Caller, President Obama became the first siting commander in chief to directly address Planned Parenthood. He proudly bragged that the number one abortion provider is not going anywhere. He concluded his remarks with the remarkable, “God Bless You Planned Parenthood.” Tiny Tim was not available for comment.

Shrewdly, he gave the speech on a Friday, allowing the Saturday lull in the news cycle to bury his highly offensive remarks.  If however next week, people are still disturbed by his asking the Almighty to bestow grace upon those who advocate the death of the most innocent for power and money in all circumstances, I’m sure Jay Carney will come to the podium to assure us that someone just sneezed and the president ad-libbed what any normal person would do when someone involuntarily expels unwanted blobs of cells.

We have come to the point that atrocities of the greatest magnitude no longer hold our interest as a nation.  Or at least, the media has decided, they shouldn’t.  Any attempt by Mark Steyn or others to rouse the imagination of the American public with the gruesome reality of abortion as brought to its logical conclusion via performance abortion artist Dr. Kermit Gosnell is met with a collective yawn. The moral compass of the country continues to mutter in its sleep, the unintentionally ironic slogan of the age, “COEXIST.” At best, we get people to declare the atrocities of the clinic in the city of brotherly love are an outlier, a deviation from the mean, the mode and median of the business of abortion.

However, the response of those who advocate pro-choice positions does not indicate that this doctor’s practices are the standard deviation from the sample, their silence speaks volumes to the reality of abortion, the clinics, the persons who perform these procedures and the aftermath of those “choices.”  If this were unexpected or unusual, they’d be screaming disassociation, demanding that abortionist providers speak out to declare that you cannot judge us by the behavior of a single person who performed badly.   They are not lining up to do this, they are running for the hills, hoping we will be distracted as we easily are, by anything and everything, so that things may go on as normal, meaning clinics like this go on doing what they do and everyone shuts their eyes to the trains that flow by on time every day. Dr. Gosnell is not the Westboro Baptist Church of abortion, he is the poster child of its practices.

We can tell ourselves this isn’t happening. It doesn’t make it so. We can say that the deaths of 55 million nation wide over 40 years has no effect on the people of our nation, but it doesn’t make it true.  We can lie all day to ourselves even when there are feet in jars in front of us, it doesn’t mean we aren’t becoming blind to all that is good, true and beautiful, it doesn’t mean we aren’t becoming like Gollum, forgetting the taste of bread, the softness of the wind, the smell of grass, even our own names, and we will weep, precious, we will weep to be so alone.

Final note: For some reason, struggling with Google to find the full text of his speech, here are the low lights…but you get the point.  There is no law but our law and abortion is its name.

P.S. I do hope God’s mercy and grace and peace floods the soul of each and every person in that room, but God’s not going to bless what is evil no matter who uses His name.
