Quote of the Day – Ann Romney Edition Part 3

“I think it’s hard with what the country is going through right now, there’s been a breach of trust that we, as all Americans, feel with our government.”

Ann Romney Holds Her Own on The View

In this segment she talks about her family.  I just heart her.  Mitt is still growing on me, but Ann I just love.

Ann is a model of commitment, devotion, practicality and love of her family. I heart her as well !

Mitt appears to be a bit squishy on some things, but still very likely the right man for right now as is Ryan.

What a happy woman! Why does Baba always want to pull her down. It just seems that the right side of the couch was interested in her, and the left side was looking to just Mrs. Romney down.

      That show is pathetic.

Quote of the Day – Ann Romney Edition Part 2

“I mean, lied about what? This is something he’s been saying all along. This is what he believes.  This is his policy, these are his statements, I mean, lie — it’s sort of like someone that’s, you know, in the sandbox that like lost the game and they’re just going to kick sand in someone’s face and say, ‘you liar.’ I mean, it’s like they lost, and so now they just are going to say, OK, the game, we didn’t like the game. So to me, it’s poor sportsmanship.”

Ann Romney on President Obama’s campaign reaction to the Denver debate loss.

Over the past months, especially since Mitt accepted our nomination, the stories of his character have exposed a great man and have left me in awe. I can think no less, or I must think as highly, of Ann and therefore, it is easy to take her word for her Husband`s honesty.

I like this line of thought; The liberal media has told us who Mitt and Barry aren`t, the debate showed us who they are !

Of Dog Whistles and Other Such Nonsense

I have enjoyed the spin on the left about the convention this week.  The outright falsehoods that are going on about the auto plant in Wisconsin has been quite amusing.  The video and newspaper reports that prove that the plant was indeed still making cars when President Obama took the oath of office doesn’t seem to deter them.  I guess Romney’s underwear is truly magic since the videos dated long before he choose Paul Ryan as his running mate.

The outright disgusting behavior that was shown towards Mia Love and Condi Rice was very sad,  but even worse, it was expected.  The cries of the female version of Uncle Tom was heard loud and clear.  We get it, you don’t like any person of color being conservative.  They are not allowed to think for themselves.  They must follow your vision, because after all, you are the party of tolerance.

The left got their pants all twisted by Ann Romney’s line of ‘I have a real marriage’.  She wasn’t talking about gay marriage.  She was talking about the same thing that every other married couple knows to be true, marriage is work.  The movies and the fairy tales don’t tell you that when you are growing up.  She had five children to raise with a husband who travels.  She has dealt with real tragedy in her life.  The loss of a child, numerous health problems in breast cancer and the knowledge that she will be dealing with MS for the rest of her life.  She has come out the other side of those things with her marriage in tact.  That is not an easy thing to do.  The rates of divorce in our country prove that.

Chris Matthews schooled me this week on the words that I am not allowed to use.  Chicago means racist.  Golf means racist.  All that secret code, oh my.  Al Sharpton has decided that the fact that Romney has a proven and clear record of putting minorities and women in positions of power and authority is a negative.  I am not even going to try and figure that out.  In his world up is down and black is white.  The only people who can legitimately put minorities is someone who shares his world view.  If not, I guess they are just pandering.  Some have gone as far to say that proves that they are racists.  Paul Ryan’s college girlfriend who happens to be black is also somehow proof that he really doesn’t like black people.  You figure it out, it just makes my head hurt.

But this has to be one of my favorites of the week.

But that line about how when America needs to accomplish something great, “you need an American”? Dog whistle to the birthers?

Now, take a look at what he actually said:

Tonight that American flag is still there on the moon. And I don’t doubt for a second that Neil Armstrong’s spirit is still with us: that unique blend of optimism, humility and the utter confidence that when the world needs someone to do the really big stuff, you need an American.

She is just pulling this crap out of thin air.  He didn’t say when America needs to accomplish something, he said when the world does.  He was talking about American Exceptionalism.  Something that Maria Cordona obviously cannot even begin to understand.  The left doesn’t see America in the same vision that I and others on the right do.  They just don’t.  They don’t view our place in the world as something special.  We are just one of many to them.  We should be more like Europe to them.  Why they don’t just pick up and move to Europe is something that I don’t understand.  You like it there so much, pack your bags.  No one is stopping you.  I will help you pack.

Why The RNC Must Change Ann Romney’s Convention Speech Slot – Video

She is one of his biggest assets.  She will humanize him in a way that no one else can, with the possible exception of his sons.

Quote of the Day – DNC Spokesman Brad Whoothouse Edition

“Our use of the Romneys’ dressage horse was not meant to offend Mrs. Romney in any way, and we regret it if it did, we were simply making a point about Governor Romney’s failure to give straight answers on a variety of issues in this race. We have no plans to invoke the horse any further to avoid misinterpretation.”

So please tell me what exactly was it meant to do?  Show people that they can afford a horse when they can’t?  Was it maybe to remind people that she has a serious illness.  One that some people may mistakenly think is fatal.

Yeah, it wasn’t meant as a dig to Ann Romney, because when you want to show a graphic of “dancing around the issues” a horse is the first that comes to mind.

The lamestream media couldn`t care less about Ann Romney OR her illness; they want to show Mitt as just “a monical away from the Monopoly Guy”, elitist and totally out of touch with the regular folk !

Ann Romney Stands Up to Pro-Obama Hecklers

I think you may get sick of hearing me say this for the next 5 months, but I really do like Ann Romney.  Mitt I am still trying to warm up to, but her I just love.  She did a great job getting the crowd going and drowning out the Obamatrons.

Quote of the Day – Ann Romney Edition

Cherish your mothers. The ones who wiped your tears, who were at every ball game or ballet recital. The ones who believed in you, even when nobody else did, even when maybe you didn’t believe in yourself.

Women wear many hats in their lives. Daughter, sister, student, breadwinner. But no matter where we are or what we’re doing, one hat that moms never take off is the crown of motherhood.

There is no crown more glorious

Ann Romney on being a mom.

Read her entire OP-ED here.  It is beautiful.  Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s and to all the women who have made a child feel special and loved.

      Oh, yeah, OBVIOUSLY !!

Ann Romney catches the wrath of the left because, at least in part, she married, remained faithful to her Husband (and he reciprocated), bore and raised 5 children (no abortions), became wealthy without the aid of giverment, and after being diagnosed with TWO very serious illnesses did not just roll over and take a pain pill ! I`m sure being a Morman has something to do with both her decisions AND the wrath she receives !

Politico is reporting that the Obama campaign is going to go after Romney because he’s Mormon. Well, they called it “weird.”

“Unless things change and Obama can run on accomplishments, he will have to kill Romney,” said a prominent Democratic strategist aligned with the White House.

The onslaught would have two aspects. The first is personal: Obama’s reelection campaign will portray the public Romney as inauthentic, unprincipled and, in a word used repeatedly by Obama’s advisers in about a dozen interviews, “weird.”

      • just a conservative girl 9:04 AM on 04/15/2012 Permalink | Reply

of course he can’t run on accomplishments, so he has no other choice. This will be especially true if the courts kicks Obamacare to the curb.

I have heard that team Obama has a slew of anti-Mormon commercials all que’d up and ready to go. Friend of friend works at the WH.

How can they not be ashamed to run a campaign on that?

Quote of the Day – Terry O’Neill Edition

“What would we be saying if Hillary Clinton had said this: that Ann Romney has never, has not worked for pay outside the home a day in her life?  That’s my understanding that’s an accurate statement, and that raises the exact issue that Hilary Rosen was trying to get to, which is do Mr. & Mrs. Romney have the kind of life experience and if not, the imagination, to really understand what most American families are going through right now? I think that that was what Hilary was getting out, and so she left out the words “for pay outside the home.”

Terry O’Neill, President of The National Organization of Women.

Oh, so Ann Romney would be ok if she took care of someone else’s children for pay.  I get it.  It isn’t that taking care of children is bad or non-work.  It is when you do it out of love for them instead of a paycheck that it causes you to lose imagination and life experience.  So if she were a nanny for instance, she would have been fine.  Do this woman have any idea how much imagination it takes to keep young children interested all day?  Or does she think sticking them in front of the X-Box with a bag of Cheetos is all it takes?

This reminds of something else from last Mother’s Day.  Read all about that here.

Truly, this has been a gift from God for Romney.  Ask yourselves, how many SocCons did you expect to be rallying around Romney?  Not this many I am sure.

The left has nothing of value to sell, so they must constantly put down the right. If it weren`t this, it`d be something else, equally bereft of originality and truth.

In fact, the Romneys very well may lack real understanding of the struggles of the poor and middle classes, but you can be sure, they know how to make money, to run businesses and keep employees working ! They understand well how burdensome regulations and taxes stifle businesses and force them to look for greener pastures, like out of the country.

The left, socialists seem to be lost on those understandings.
