Liberal Logic – Susan Rice and Syria Edition

So the administration is on a full court press right now trying to change hearts and minds about Syria.  So, in thier infinite wisdom they have decided to send none other than Susan Rice out to do it.  You remember Susan Rice don’t you? The woman who went on five different Sunday talk shows to discuss how Benghazi and the death of four Americans at an oupost there was due to YouTube video, even after they knew full well it was a terrorist attack.

You can’t make this stuff up.  Truly.

“OK,” I said, “Then I want to die after Congress gets its head out of its ass!”

This is why our country is in trouble.
We have the likes of the Three Stooges: Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid saying one thing & doing another.
These forked tongued prevaricators will forever go down in history for trying to dismantle America! And of these three, the only one who had ever “CROTCH SALUTED” our American flag, tried to take “God” out of the DNC Platform, is responsible for the deaths of Americans at our borders & in Benghazi & solely responsible for the debt crisis we face today b/c HE-IS-NO-BUSINESSMAN … was elected president yet again by an uninformed ignorant population who have been stigmatized by the incessant consistent steady feeding of lies by our liberal Marxist-educated mainstream media.

Quote of the Day – Senator Harry Reid Edition
“Romney’s fantasy that Senate Democrats will work with him to pass his ‘severely conservative’ agenda is laughable”
Wait, I thought it was the republicans that were obstructionists? I must be confused.

“There are two ways to conquer & enslave a nation.
      One is by the sword.
The other is by debt.” John Adams 1826

      The Quote of the Decade:
“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America ‘s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America ‘s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, “the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”
      ~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006

“My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you’ll join with me as we try to change it.”

      Barack Obama

Bob Costas Dilemna for Tomorrow’s Sunday Night Football Game – Prohibition or Ban Cars?

The NFL is not having a very good week.  This weekend two Dallas Cowboy players were involved in a car accident.  Jerry Brown, 24, was killed while riding in a car with linebacker Joshua Price-Bent.  The car apparently was travelling at a high rate of speed, hit a curb, flipped over and caught on fire.

Bent was seen trying to help his teammate out of the car when police arrived.  He was brought to the hospital and pronounced dead.  Bent failed a sobriety test.  The exact amount he was over the legal limit is not known at this time, but he has been charged with intoxication manslaughter (never heard of such a thing).

A tragedy for both men.  Bent faces 20 years in prison if convicted and of course a very young man has lost his life.  My deepest sympathies to his loved ones.

The dilemma comes does Bob Costas during his lecture to the Sunday Night Football watching public decide to ban cars or bring back prohibition?

I am not trying to make light of a horrible situation, but this question must be asked.  Professional athletes have a culture of drugs and drinking just as much as a culture of guns.  So with Costas’ logic, they must be banned from all society because these individuals can’t handle the money, fame, and all the things that come with it.

Your guess on which it will be?

    • Don 12:21 AM on 12/09/2012 Permalink | Reply

I think society needs to consider a Costa ban…

This is just another example of a liberal acting on emotion and not bothering with pesky things like facts. Every place that gun controls have been implemented, violent crime has risen. And contrarily, when gun controls are receded, violent crime diminishes.

Liberal Logic – Rahm Emanuel Edition

Rahm Emanuel, Chicago’s mayor, has put his liberal logic on full display for all the world to see. You see, the mayor decided to weigh in on the Chik Fil A non-controversy by announcing Chik Fil A doesn’t share “Chicago Values”. Really? It wasn’t all that long ago that the mayor admitted that some in his city have the wrong values.

Now this same man has decided that the city needs the help of The Nation of Islam to patrol the streets to help cut down on the unending violence in the city now being dubbed “MurderTown”.

So this idiot liberal would like to keep Chik Fil A from expanding in the City of Chicago, which of course violates our laws, because they believe in traditional marriage. This belief, held by millions around the country, is simply that marriage is between one woman and one man. It in no way wants to see discrimination against homosexuals. Gay people can do what ever they want to do with that one exception. That is it. We don’t call for violence against people, we don’t call for the death of anyone. We are simply stating that the institution of marriage is something that is held sacred and by redefining marriage we are being asked to accept beliefs that violate our religious views and conscience.

Islam, however, is a very different story:

The Sunan Abu Dawud, named after its editor, is another reliable collection of hadith. Ibn Abbas reports the following about early Islam and Muhammad’s punishment of homosexuals: . . . “If you find anyone doing as Lot’s people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done” (vol. 3, p. 145, no. 4447).

The next one from the same collection says that an unmarried man who commits sodomy should be stoned to death: “Ibn Abbas said: if a man who is not married is seized committing sodomy, he will be stoned to death” (vol. 3, p. 1245, no. 4448).

Thus, these two passages in Sunan Abu Dawud go further than merely rejecting and banishing homosexuals or sexual sinners, as we saw in Bukhari’s collection. Rather, Ibn Abbas says that Muhammad and the early Muslim community commanded their execution.

The hadith editor Timidhi repeats Ibn Abbas’ narration: “Ikrima reported on the authority of Ibn Abbas that God’s messenger [Muhammad] said: ‘If you find anyone doing as Lot’s people did, kill the one who does it and the one to whom it is done.’” (Recorded in Mishkat al-Masabih, trans. James Robson, vol. 2, p. 763, Prescribed Punishments). In the same hadith collection, the Mishkhat al-Masabih, a compendium that brings together other hadith collections, are found the punishments of being burned to death and having heavy objects thrown on the guilty homosexuals:

The Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan also have such a good record when it comes to your faith, Mr. Mayor:

“[T]he Jews don’t like Farrakhan, so they call me Hitler. Well, that’s a good name. Hitler was a very great man. He wasn’t a great man for me as a black person, but he was a great German. Now, I’m not proud of Hitler’s evils against Jewish people, but that’s a matter of record. He raised Germany up from nothing. Well, in a sense you could say there’s a similarity in that we are raising our people up from nothing.” — Louis Farrakhan, radio interview, March 11, 1984

“Jews have been conclusively linked to the greatest criminal endeavor ever undertaken against an entire race of people … the black African Holocaust. … The effects of this unspeakable tragedy are still being felt among the peoples of the world at this very hour.” — The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews (NOI book), 1991

“Who are the slumlords in the Black community? The so-called Jews. … Who is it sucking our blood in the Black community? A white imposter Arab and a white imposter Jew.” — Speech by NOI national official Khalid Muhammad, Nov. 29, 1993

“These false Jews promote the filth of Hollywood that is seeding the American people and the people of the world and bringing you down in moral strength. … It’s the wicked Jews, the false Jews, that are promoting lesbianism, homosexuality. It’s the wicked Jews, false Jews, that make it a crime for you to preach the word of God, then they call you homophobic!” — Louis Farrakhan, Saviours’ Day speech, Feb. 26, 2006

So these are Chicago Values. Good to know. With values like these, it is no wonder the murder rate is so high.

A curious thing, this islam; on the one hand, homosexuals are to be executed, but as reported a couple weeks ago, a muslim had agreed to be voluntarily sodomized by 5 or more guys so that his rectum would be stretched large enough for the insertion of explosives. He wanted to become a human bomb. Would whittling down a length of closet rod deprive his buddies of some deviant sexual pleasure ? It`s permitted to have sex with goats, ya know !

We know that it is OK in islam for the muslims to lie to infidels in the furtherance of the islamic cause, is it also OK to be sodomizer and sodomizee in the cause of islamic jihad ??

Sorry ladies, I realize this is not standard dinner table fare, but the glaring hypocrisy of the ROP and what some, too many, on the left want to support or at least give appeasement to is just a bit disturbing to me ! Liberal Logic – Shelia Jackson Lee Edition – Video

Let me try to understand this.  I am against baby’s being aborted based on gender so that means I want to “drag women into the streets”. This is part of the war on women.

Don’t these idiots realize that most of the babies that are being murdered are being done so simply because they are female?

    Liberal logic at it’s finest.

I have said many times that we need to start turning these things around.  Most of the babies that will be murdered (make no mistake that is what it is if the only reason they are doing it is based on gender) are going to be Asian.  So liberals hate Asians.  Spread it around.

So, it’s okay for a woman to kill any child she is carrying in her womb, for whatever reason – including such trivia as ‘I’m getting back at my boyfriend’ and ‘it’s a punishment and inconvenient’ – and that’s okay and rises to the level of a human right protected in the U.S. Constitution. I don’t want to ever here any single one of those murderesses say anything hateful about my military service in Vietnam, where I killed men – and a few women – who were not only adults, but were actively seeking to advance the policies of their government or political faction … that is to say, they were trying to kill me. To kill in war is now considered despicable, but to kill a child you carry in your womb, right beneath your heart, is a sacred right???? Monsterous, hideousness, terrifying beyond words to think that these women claim the title of mother for themselves.

Good Idea, Let’s Lower Drop Out Rates by Passing Dummies

Seriously, I have long since thought that we should just let Mexico have California back.  Go ahead and give it to them.  Of course they have to take the debt with them too.  I am sure there are very nice people living in California; MAInfo and Left Coast Rebel to name just two, but they just keep scraping the bottom of the barrel.  I am at the point that I have to wonder how there is any barrel left to scrape.

Drop out rates are alarmingly high in the Los Angeles Unified School District, 1 in 3 will not finish high school.  Considering that they are spending somewhere close to $28K per student one would have to say they are doing a bang up job with the taxpayer funds that they are allocated.

One would think with numbers this abysmal they would try some out of the box thinking in order to get improvement.  Say maybe open more charter schools, maybe do a voucher program to help these students who want a good education to get into a better school system, or even allow students to go to better public schools.  Alas, no that is not what they decided to do.  In their infinite wisdom they have decided that the best course of action is to lower the standards it takes to graduate.  That’s right, just pass them along anyway.  You will now be considered passed with a grade of D. Apparently learning something isn’t the goal.  Just getting you passed along is good enough.

As it stands now only 15% of the students from this school system can pass the entrance exams to enter into the Cal State University System, which really isn’t so bad when you consider that 50% of them don’t bother finishing the prep classes.  So lowering the standards is going to help with that endeavor?  I guess they will worry about those dismal numbers at a later date.

    Good call.  Homeschool anyone?

I started college in 1964, aiming for a degree in chemical engineering and first semester took College Algebra and got a .75 in it. Went back to college in 1984, aiming for a degree in political science and law school, and re-took College Algebra and got a 4.0 in it. Didn’t study any formal maths at all in the intervening 20 years. And – here’s the punch line – that ’84 course ended with the mathematical topics the ’64 course started with. Wonder how the doctoral candidates in math are doing??

Politico is reporting that the Obama campaign is going to go after Romney because he’s Mormon. Well, they called it “weird.”

“Unless things change and Obama can run on accomplishments, he will have to kill Romney,” said a prominent Democratic strategist aligned with the White House.

The onslaught would have two aspects. The first is personal: Obama’s reelection campaign will portray the public Romney as inauthentic, unprincipled and, in a word used repeatedly by Obama’s advisers in about a dozen interviews, “weird.”

Liberal Logic – Various and Sundry Edition

“Anybody who makes $250,000 becomes a millionaire very quickly if you save it. You just need four years”

Gov. Jerry Brown on his millionaire tax that actually starts at $250K per year.  So, the millionaire tax starts at the income level well below what a millionaire makes, and apparently these people don’t have to spend any of this money  in a four-year period.  I guess someone is paying all their expenses for them.  Including the really high tax rates they pay in California.

In more local news, Washington, D.C. is like most cities/states, they are in a budget crunch.  They are looking for ways to raise revenues.  They have decided in their infinite wisdom one of the ways to do that is to increase the hours per day that sale of alcohol will be available.  They are considered having it available for purchase 21 hours per day.  Mind you, the buses and metro system don’t run until 4 am, but hey, there are “other ways” to get home.  Awesome.  More drunks in D.C.  just what we need.

“Why is a big Gift, a Boat load of money, with no strings attached, a burden to States?”

Justice Elena Kagan during oral arguments on the new Medicare payments to the states.  Oh, I don’t know, maybe because it raises everyone taxes and there is no opt out.  And telling them what they spend the money on is an attached string, no?

“I guess my greatest fear, Mr. Clement, with your argument is the following: The bigger the problem, the more resources it needs. We’re going to tie the hands of the Federal Government in choosing how to structure a cooperative relationship with the States. We’re going to say to the Federal Government, the bigger the problem, the less your powers are. Because once you give that much money, you can’t structure the program the way you want.”

Justice Sonya Sotomayor during oral arguments on the new Medicare payments to the states.  Yes, that is exactly what we are saying Justice.  It is called federalism.  Maybe you have heard of it.  It is in that document you are supposed to be upholding, remember the oath you took?

“You are — you are saying that because you represent a sizeable number of States, you can destroy this whole program, even though there may be as many States that want it, that don’t feel coerced, that say — think this is a good thing?”

Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg.  So you want to force the many because of the few?   Typical.

I think you`d be hard pressed to find a lib. anywhere who believes in Federalism. Having the name “Federal-ism” tends to be confusing to some, as it means the opposite of what appears on the surface.

I expect that Kagan, Obama and many other libs. grimmaced and groaned while taking their Oaths of Office, and may have done so with their fingers crossed !

And speaking of the majority suffering for the benefit of the few, ObamaScare was intended to benefit less than 15% of the public; 42 ish million Americans without insurance ! Tyranny of the minority !

Hate to break your bubble, but American corporate tax figures does not include Value Added Taxes, unlike other developed countries. Furthermore, we have an array of tax breaks that brings down effective corporate tax numbers to 29.2%.

This results in taxes collected from corporations in the U.S accounting for only 1.7% of GDP, about 40% lower than other develop countries.

This of course does not take into account account our capital gains tax, which is once again one of the lowest among developed countries.

But hey, go ahead. Take the headlines at face value and continue fighting for tax deductions for corporations, whose contribution to the economy is already the lowest since WWII. Ignore also that the shortfall has been shouldered mainly by the middle class whose effective income has declined since 1973.

      Cheers.

Hate to burst your bubble. VATs are added on at the end and paid for by the final purchaser. To say that the foreign corporations are paying more in taxes because of the VAT is laughable. Talk about piling onto the middle class. That is exactly what the VAT does.

We spend too much money. That is our problem. The federal gov’t doesn’t need to be doing even half the things it spends money on. $70B for the depart of education that doesn’t educate one child.

I live in DC. I know many people who work for the federal gov’t. Every last one of them will tell you how much money they waste and totally inefficient they are if they are willing to be honest. Most of which are.

    • Taxman 2:54 PM on 03/30/2012 Permalink | Reply

lol. VATs are collected at every stage of the inventory process, from raw materials to parts and the final product. Only the final stage, the consumer stage VAT, is similar to sales tax. Get it?

And for the record, I’m not ‘saying it. The facts do. Russia’s VATs goes up to 18%. Norway, up to 25%. Ireland, up to 23.5%. Czech, up to 23%. UK, up to 20%. France, up to 20%. Germany, up to 19%. Spain, up to 18%. Brazil, up to 25%. Mexico, 16%. Singapore, 7%. Canada, up to 10%. Japan, up to 5%. The list goes on…

And yes, I agree. We spend too much money. However, I’m surprised that you cited the education department, though, considering our defense spending is more than ten times that amount, accounting for 43% percent of the global defense spending. 43%. That doesn’t include infrastructural spending. It also excludes expenditures incurred in Iraq and Afghanistan – which will ultimately cost the nation around $8 trillion in direct and indirect cost, enough to cover the expenditure of Medicaid and Medicare for the next 90 years.

One more thing. Education is one of the most critical aspect of our country’s future. And yet, we quibble over the cost, when other nations are spending proportionately more for their students compared to us (we’re ranked about 38th internationally). And we wonder why our children are regularly ranked below average compared to their international peers. Sad. Sad.

Speaking of the middle class, perhaps you’d like to listen to Reagan speaking on the subject. http://youtu.be/cgbJ-Fs1ikA

We actually spend more than many other countries on education and don’t get the bang for the buck that they do. We could easily get better results in education for less costs. we don’t have the political will to do it.

All corporate taxes are passed onto the consumer. They don’t pay taxes, they include them in the price of the costs. We pay them. The higher their taxes go, the more money you and I pay for goods and services.

I don’t deny we can cut money from defense. We can cut money from most everything.
