Yep, The Democrats are Proud of Fewer Jobs in Our Future Due to Obamacare

Truly sad.  This is something that the Daily Kos is circulating through social media.

Quote of the Day – Jim Moran Edition

“I’m afraid that the millennials, if you will, are less likely to sign up. I think they feel more independent, I think they feel a little more invulnerable than prior generations.  But I don’t think we’re going to get enough young people signing up to make this bill work as it was intended to financially.”

Finally this man said something that I agree with.

Quote of the Day – Bryant Osborn Edition

If you think this may have happened to you, here is how you can tell if you are in TOICITASOP’s verification system.  Call the TOICITASOP cynically-named customer service number.  When the mechanical voice asks who you are, say “member.”  When asked what you want to do, say “medical.”  When asked if you are calling for a pre-certification, say “yes.”  When asked what kind of service, say “medical.”  When asked again if you are a member, press ‘1.’  You will then be prompted for your social security number.  If the voice says that you “could not be located,” then you are not in the verification system, and your insurance is worthless.  Be very careful not to get sick or be in an accident.

After reading last week’s column, several people told me that they were glad they had health insurance through their employer and did not have to go through what I was going through.  This proves that there are lots of people who are not paying attention.

My existing health insurance was canceled by Obamacare’s individual mandate.  But Obamacare has an employer mandate that is even worse.  The only reason that those of you who have your health insurance through your employer are not having my problems yet is because President Obama delayed the implementation of the employer mandate.  But be advised: Your day is coming.  Soon.

I am now a single-issue voter, and I am focused.  I will do everything I can to defeat anyone who either voted for Obamacare, or failed to defund it.  Sen. Mark Warner is up for re-election in November, and Eric Cantor has a Republican primary challenger named David Brat.

Mr. Osborne is a farmer who writes a weekly column on fresh and locally grown foods.  He lost his private insurance policy due to the individual mandate of Obamacare.  This is his story about even though he has paid his premium for his “new and improved” health insurance policy through the Obamacare website, he is still uninsured.  Something that media is not covering.

    RTR here.

College Students Speak about Sexually Charged Obamacare Ads

Well this is a hopeful sign from young women.  Thank heavens the majority of them found these ads to be not only ineffective, but  embarrassing and insulting.

Colorado Planned Parenthood Were Against New Obamacare Ads Before They Were For Them

Yes, they are this hypocritical.  Apparently when they thought the ads were “fake” and done by some republican group, they were no good.  Once they found out they were actual ads they are not only fine with them, they are praising the idea of “discussing birth control”.

     Oh my.

There is no way to describe these ads as anything other than demeaning to young adults in this country.  All they care about are keg parties, sex without consequences or emotion, and birth control.  That is what this administration thinks of you.  It isn’t me saying it, it is what they think.  You are only worried about partying, having fun, and sleeping around.  I guess that is why so little has been done to address the very serious issue of jobs for recent college grads and young people.   Who needs those things when they get “free” birth control and do headstands with keg stands?

Quote of the Day – Washington Post Edition

If the poor, sick and uninsured are the winners under the Affordable Care Act, the losers appear to include some relatively healthy middle-income small-business owners, consultants, lawyers and other self-employed workers who buy their own insurance. Many make too much to qualify for new federal subsidies provided by the law but not enough to absorb the rising costs without hardship.

What is so very sad is the government knew this and did it anyway.  They tore down the house to fix a bathroom.  I have been saying for three years the only thing that Obamacare would accomplish is changing who the uninsured is.  That is what we spent trillions on.

Quote of the Day – Politico Edition

But for the most part, the mainstream media failed to aggressively pursue the story, taking Obama’s claim at face value without testing it against the facts

Well wonders never cease.  They finally admit it.  This particular quote is talking Obamacare and the GOP and Tea Party saying for years that people would lose their insurance once Obamacare gets implemented.  Well know they have no choice but to admit that we were right.  One would hope this would make them check into other things as well.  I am not holding my breath on that though.

Quote of the Day – Sue Klinkhamer Edition

“I spent two years defending Obamacare. I had constituents scream at me, spit at me and call me names that I can’t put in print. The congressman was not re-elected in 2010 mainly because of the anti-Obamacare anger. When the congressman was not re-elected, I also (along with the rest of our staff) lost my job. I was upset that because of the health care issue, I didn’t have a job anymore but still defended Obamacare because it would make health care available to everyone at, what I assumed, would be an affordable price. I have now learned that I was wrong. Very wrong.”

Sue was once a staffer for a democratic congressman who voted for Obamacare.  Now she actually has to live it.   Her premium has more than doubled.

Is it rude to say “I told you so”?

Tyndale Publishing Will Not Be Forced to Go Against Religous Beliefs

Tyndale Publishing, one of the world’s largest publishers of Christian materials, will not be forced to offer birth control and abortifacients with its health insurance which are against their religious beliefs.

The Obama administration has elected not to stand up in court and make the ludicrous claim that a publishing house that only publishes Christian materials and gives large portions of its profits to Christian causes does not qualify as a religious employer.

Score one for the good guys.

Quote of the Day – Conservative Girl Edition

Last night during dinner I was talking to a young woman who will have her hours cut to 29 hours per week.  Another person who was having dinner with us couldn’t understand the rationale for her loss of hours.  My response:

Welcome to Obamacare, but hey her birth control is free.

    Here’s a Nursing Home I Don’t Want to be a Resident Of

Glenwood Gardens in Bakersfield, CA has a “policy” of not allowing their staff of not performing CPR.  That is not a typo.  87-year-old Lorraine Bayless was allowed to die while waiting for medics to arrive.  9-1-1 was on the phone with a nurse after the woman collapsed:

In the seven-minute, 16-second recording, the nurse told the dispatcher it was against the facility’s policy for employees to perform CPR on residents.

With every passing second, Bayless’ chances of survival were diminishing. The dispatcher’s tone turned desperate.

“Anybody there can do CPR. Give them the phone please. I understand if your facility is not willing to do that. Give the phone to that passerby,” the dispatcher said. “This woman is not breathing enough. She is going to die if we don’t get this started.”

I am not going to take the tack that this has something to do with Obamacare, as it clearly does not.  But it does go to the fact that as a society we are getting closer and closer to saying that the elderly, the sick, and the disabled are disposable.

This is part and parcel of the violence we see in this country.  Human life is no longer considered valuable.

I have already seen and commented on this story at another blog. What seems apparent to me, aside from the woeful lack of details, is that this nursing home has chosen to pass the risk of a failed attempt at CPR off onto the EMS. In our litigious society, I can see that as a real possibility !

      • just a conservative girl 7:15 PM on 03/04/2013 Permalink | Reply

I don’t see how. The tape is very clear that they were wanting cpr to be done. EMS can’t be held responsible. Although if it is in the contract that the residents sign when they move in, they may not be held responsible either. Besides, the lawsuit that may be filed isn’t the issue, it is a lack of compassion on the behalf of the elderly that is the real story. At least to me.

      A WISH TO LIVE FOREVER

I met a fairy who said she would grant me one wish.

Immediately I said, “I want to live forever.”

“Sorry,” said the fairy, “I’m not allowed to grant eternal life.”

“OK,” I said, “Then I want to die after Congress gets its head out of its ass!”

“You crafty bastard,” said the fairy.

There are some silver linings in here. I will be posting about that tomorrow. I had such a busy day since I was at the court this morning, that I don’t have the time I really want. I will show you the lining.

          Anticipating !!

I heard an interesting point today; the fact that the ACA was ruled a tax makes it easier to vote to defund it or repeal it with a simple majority vote; 51 instead of 60.

If Roberts had ruled with the other conservatives, 5-4 against ACA, then the lefty media would have screamed, “The court is just an arm of the Rs” and would probably have been successful at effectively de-legitimizing the SC. Now, Zero can`t run against the SC; he has so little to run ON, one less thing to run against is a good thing !
