Law-breaking Liberals Across the Land
It’s not a surprise but it’s still a stunner. The Democrat party is festooned with lawyers, yet somehow the law doesn’t apply to them in the crunch. We have the Brooklyn District Attorney finding no evidence of criminality in those videotapes of ACORN. You know, the ones that showed them helping arrange a fraudulent mortgage for a place to house underage, illegal immigrant girls to engage in prostitution.
Then we have the up and coming leaders of the left, burning and trashing Berkeley. Violence is OK if it’s in a good cause.
Finally we have the President of the United States and the Democrat leaders of Congress planning a radical abuse of power to pass massive legislation the American people overwhelmingly oppose, treating us like stupid children.
It’s no wonder Dan Riehl pens something like this: When in the course of human events…

Dan Riehl’s post was visceral and no doubt he expressed feelings shared by many who have had more than enough of this Democratic regime. I find myself stunned each time I go to write a new post on health care that this arrogant administration continues to force the issue when Americans have clearly spoken. I have on a few occasions questioned whether readers would find another post on health care credible because honestly I can’t believe it myself.
I have said this before but there is an obsession that borders on the pathological in this singular focus on health care. Peggy Noonan tells us This is what a disaster looks like,” but there is more at play than a man who is in way over his head or a failed presidency in the process of playing itself out. There is deep impenetrable denial:
I tend to agree with Noonan, at least as far as Obama is concerned, this is a psychodrama being played out on an intensely public stage. The people gave him a clanging warning with the election of Scott Brown in Massachusetts. It was also a gift, an opportunity for him to realign his presidency with the concerns of the nation. He ignored the warning. The next comes in November and I suspect that will be much louder. Will he ignore that too? Frankly, I would have thought he’d have woken up long before this so I think it is 50/50 at best he gets the message.

It’s pretty astonishing that we have this recent convergence of thought these last few days. There was a slow realization my some who voted for him and some who did not that he was a radical ideologue. Now people are talking psychodrama. The American Spectator linked above, The American Thinker:

And Peggy Noonan. We need Charles Krauthammer to weigh in professionally.
